Grenadier Quartermaster
Delving more into the utilitarian side, the Quartermaster is a pickup based on the Grenadier, providing a double-cab layout with a load bed behind – though the spare wheel placement could be better. With pickups becoming increasingly popular, the Quartermaster sticks to the task at hand by excelling at tackling the most challenging terrain, including an 800mm wading depth. The BMW straight-six diesel engine is punchy, and a petrol alternative is available, while there’s an eight-speed auto as standard.

Grenadier Station Wagon
The successor, spiritually and dynamically, to the original Land Rover Defender, the Grenadier is arguably the most uncompromising SUV on sale today. Its rugged chassis is over-engineered so that it can cope with virtually anything that’s thrown at it. BMW-sourced engines provide ample diesel or petrol performance, and its robust appearance is mirrored inside, with a myriad of control panels. Two and five-seat commercial variants are available from the factory, adding to its appeal.
